Rechargeable batteries are required to store energy from your renewable source.

Deep cycle batteries (batteries that can be discharged of 80% of their total capacity) are the heart of a renewable energy system.

  • In order to charge batteries properly a charge controller is required.


    An inverter is required to use regular AC appliances with power from batteries.


    Note: Batteries are not necessary for grid-tied systems,
    unless a power back-up is desired (for cases of emergency or blackouts).
